Blessed In Jesus

In Genesis 22:18 for the act of absolute faith and obedience, God told Abraham, “In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed….” As we celebrate Christmas – the birth of the gift of the Son of God, Jesus does more than give us blessings, In Him we are blessed. Blessing is not about what you get, but about what you give. Ask yourself, do you what to be receiving blessings or do you want to be blessed? Only the blessed can give blessings because you cannot give what you do not have. From Acts 20:35 it was quoted that Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Only the blessed can be a channel of blessing just as only a wet pipe can channel water through itself.

The world receives Jesus for the blessings they seek rather than the power to be blessed and remain blessed. These days everyone preaches blessings because they give the people what they want. Seeking the blessings alone leads to the love of money which is the root of all evil, but seeking the Kingdom of God & His righteousness leads to godliness and power. The early Church preached “Be Blessed”, more about what being blessed is all about rather than blessing. This is why Peter and John at the beautiful gate in Acts 3, had no silver or gold but the true blessings of the blessed – the power of the name of Jesus.

Jesus is a gift to those who will accept Him. Seek Him while He may be found, Matthew 5:6 – Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. The gift of Jesus leads to unlimited through unlimited access and resources. Unlimited access to God (John 14:6 Jesus said, “…I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the father except through Me.”). In God we have all that we need there is no lack in Him for He is the true Shepherd.

This is what it means to be blessed. Remain blessed!

Hope for Life

2 Kings 7:3-4:

Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.”

In the world of this age, hope for life (life more abundantly) is dwindling away by the second. At every turn, or flip of channel, appears to be mere hopelessness. To save yourself from further disappointment, know that hope for life can only be found in Jesus.  Don’t even try to do it yourself, Proverbs 16:25 says that there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Our help comes from God alone. He gives us the power to make wealth, promotion does not come from the East or the West but from above. The only way to life, life more abundantly, is in Jesus.

Called To Love

According to 1 John 2:4-6 which states:

He who says, “I know Him” and does not Keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
